I've just recieved about 44 emails from finance@buy.at each with 50 affiliate email addresses in the to: field.

So that's about 2200 email addresses that's been sent to me and everyone else!

Hi Lee,

The situation is not ideal and we are aware of this and are contacting the affected people.

We became aware of the problem as soon as it occurred and stopped the emails immediately. Our understanding at present is yes you did receive this number of mails, but it is not 2,000 in the "to:" field. 102 people were actually affected.

As it was a case of repetition, which means far less have been included on others mails in the manner.

You the most affected person.

We will update you when we have more details shortly.

yes, I only received x2 one in someone elses name, but with email addresses never the less.

This reminds me of a huge f*ck up in an email sent to me.

In my last job working for a merchant, an affiliate network who were chasing an invoice sent me the invoice for one of our direct competitors! - I don't think they even spotted their mistake (or maybe they were fired so quickly they didn't get a chance to apologise..)!
