I assume everyone got this:

Due to the uniqueness of this offer there are some restrictions that must be adhered to before you are approved to promote the iPhone.

All site copy, content and imagery must be pre-approved to promote the iPhone and recieve commission.

Any iPhone creative or text that you host in support of the iPhone with which you wish to pass the traffic to O2, will need to be approved before links to O2 can be used. Any traffic that comes to O2 and converts to iPhone sales prior to the iPhone promotional content being approved will therefore not be paid.

While I understand where O2 are coming from and the desire to protect how the brand is promoted I do consider the last sentence a little harsh.

All normal sales will be approved it is only the iPhone this has an impact on - i understand everyones concerns over this. All sites with copy and content that i have recieved have been sent to the merchant, i am expecting approval on these today - as soon as i recieve this i will be in touch.

Hi - looks like I won't be sending traffic via O2 then. I was going to place banners on 240 or so of my sites, but I'll point them to the Apple Store instead using Apple banners and links, which don't seem to have all of these stipulations.

For the small trickle of buyers online (anyone who wnats one NOW will be queuing up outside the shop) it's not worth the hassle to be honest.

Had a good think about this, and my conclusion is that I cant really be bothered creating copy that may or may not be rejected and what is worrying (and annoying) is that any iphone sales that I may accidentally make for O2 through generic O2 links will not be paid for so it's probably best if at this current moment in time that I don't promote O2 because of the commission leakage from this product.

Keith - I came to the same conclusion. Good luck to those that are pushing this though.
