We all know that January is the big travel season, so thought I'd try a few promotional bits for some cottage holiday traffic we have. Looked at the Country Holidays range of sites on buy.at, and found that ALL of their programs Irish country Cottages, Scottish country cottages, Country Holidays and English Country Holidays) affiliate links go to 404 deadlink pages, despite me being approved for the program, and nothing on the programme details page about there being any problems - I recall some tracking problems a year or two ago, but thought they had been resolved?

How long have these links not been working?

Looks like their whole server is down. Think it must have happened today - Google cached their site at 18:56 last night.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

    Hi John,

Firstly, apologies for the difficulties that you have had today with these programmes.

The merchant has experienced some problems with their Internet platform today, and is in the process of fixing this.

This is causing some of the websites to go offline intermittently, particularly during peak periods. Both the Country Holidays and English Country Holidays programmes have been recording sales throughout today, and this is particularly affecting the Irish and Scottish programmes.

I have been assured that this is being dealt with as a matter of urgency and will be fixed by the close of business today.

I will keep you updated with progress on this as soon as i hear back from the merchant.

    Thanks,

Hijacking a thread in another network's part of the forum is incredibly unprofessional - please don't do it - if you want to announce your own programmes, please do it in the appropriate sections of the forum.

Historically, if you go through past forum threads, there having been at least a couple chapters related to tracking issues on the various cottage programs, up & down like a whores knickers or on & off like a bridesmaids dress ... or tap & light respectively if you want more etiquette. So much so we looked at alternative cottage programs outside of the family which mainly consists of the one umbrella brand, which gets a little confusing, thus we avoided since mostly & made other arrangements.

This thread is only a small taster
