    Jemma.

Good luck with the program but £2 is far far too low. Most people on this forum who promote insurance know how much the 'end' commission is.

    Hi there,

gocompare.com is a very well known brand and the form for quote applications is swift and simple, affiliates are paid £2 commission on each unique complete quote for car insurance. The volumes therefore will be far higher so affiliates can earn very strong commissions.

Start quote to end quote on gocompare.com is about 90%, so per 100 people beginning an application, an affiliate can earn £180 in commission.

Average start quote to purchase for an insurance company is approximately 3% - 4%, therefore if 100 people apply an affiliate will receive approximately 3 to 4 sales and, on an average commission of £40, £120 to £160 in commission.

Therefore there is potential to earn a greater amount on the gocompare.com £2 commission rate as the volumes are far higher. Validation times and rates will also be far more beneficial as there is no purchase to be confirmed or period of time to wait for this to be done.

If you have any further queries regarding gocompare.com please feel free to contact me.

Hold yer horses there is a process before [quote] Start quote to end quote on gocompare.com is about 90%[quote].

And that is the proportion of click thrus from affiliate site before a user engages with the quotation system.

So to confirm, if someone using my link completes the online quote, gets the prices, but doesn't commit to a purchase, i still gain the £2? Suppose i'd need to send a hell of a lot of traffic though!

I used a cashback site today to insure one of my cars, £100 cashback and the insurance was only £120

True but that's £180 per 100 that actually begin a quote, the actual epc overall is far lower after taking all the traffic which bounces and doesn't start a quote into account it's actually more like 54p epc so they pay out around 72p per click including override and the cheeky gits even dare to put a one day cookie on that traffic !!!!!!!! :td how unbelievably insulting

They are paying out £72 per 100 clicks !! ... yet seem quite happy to sit at number 2 on yahoo paid listings paying £3 to £6 per click for "car insurance" :tup ... so on there they are paying out £300 to £600 per 100 clicks ..

So even if yahoo converts at 25% click to quote they'd get 25 quotes per 100 clicks costing between £300 and £600 .. giving a quote cost of between £12 and £24, and even at a day dreamer whopping 50% click to conversion rate it would still be between £6 and £12 per quote..

yet affiliates are supposed to be feeling valued at £2 per quote !? and on a one day cookie at that !?

I'd rather fire traffic to a dead link than to a merchant like this, I really wish all the networks would bounce merchants like this outta town, they are having a laugh out of all of us merchants included !

    Hi there,

First of all – the default link for the Gocompare.com Car Insurance programme directs users to this landing page. The user is able to immediately begin quote from this page so there are no additional clicks required before a user can begin quote.

Affiliates are paid for each unique quote application regardless of whether a user purchases a policy.

The conversion rate during March was 35% and the EPC 69p, so on average, per 100 clicks affiliates can earn £69. On these statistics an affiliate can earn £180 commission from 260 clicks.

Other insurance programmes typically have a conversion rate of between 3% and 6% and an EPC of anything between 20p and £2. Therefore the earning potential on Gocompare.com Car Insurance is very healthy for affiliates because the conversion rate is extremely high at 35% and the EPC is a strong 69p. The volumes for many affiliates are high because the 4 step quote application is swift, easy and there is no transaction required.

If you have any further queries about the Gocompare.com programmes please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Kind Regards,
    Jemma
