I also had the exact same email. You are not alone...
Have received an email this evening which says :
"Woolworths would like to know whether you have been engaging in ppc activity on their programme and if so what words you have been bidding on. As stated in the programme description Woolworths currently operates a closed bidding group for ppc activity which has been limited to one affiliate."
I am NOT amused.
For a start I don't run ANY affiliate related PPC campaigns!
Did anyone else get this email?
If it's a stock email that has gone out to us all then I will at least down grade to mightily peeved from massively annoyed![]()

Got the same email here as well.
Thanks Lee
Thanks for replying Andy and Lee.
I do think they could have taken the time to write the email so that it doesn't come across like it does.
Feel better knowing it wasn't just sent to me![]()

I suspect it has been sent to all Woolworths affiliates (possibly by mistake) hopefully apology will arrive tomorrow.

Yep, received too and not happy about it. I replied to say "no"!
yep got it as well , why would they want to know what words have been bid on?? maybe someone knows how to run PPC beter then themselves![]()
Yeah I got it as well. Wasted my time checking my PPC campaigns to make sure I hadn't inadvertently been PPCing Woolworths then sent a terse replying asking what made them think I had. I did check A4U first to see if anyone else had received it but some how missed this thread.
Not very impressed by the slightly accusatory tone as the subject line and the fact that it was addresses to me personally with no reference to it being a blanket email to all affiliates made me feel that I must have done something to be singled out. Did think it strange as I've only sent Woolworths a handful of clicks this year and not had any commission out of them.
EDIT: Ah that's why I missed this thread. It was started after I sent my reply.
They already have access to the keywords bid on for direct to merchant PPC (I assume that's what the Click Source and Keyword column in the reports are for) so don't know why they need to ask all affiliates. The only affect it's had on me is its highlighted how lucky that one affiliate is and so put me off pushing Woolworths.
Yep, who ever affiliate id # 67035 is, he/she has it sorted! No doubt a dubbed "super" affiliate!!! I'm not a fan of woolworths anyway, i've found for the products i'm promoting, they never have them in stock, or give some poor timescales of when they will be available, i certainly wouldn't buy from them, but i wanted to get visitors plenty of merchant options!
Yep , i'm glad i don't have to be a "Lone moaner" on this occasion ,

ok being stupid , but what is the advantage of only allowing one affiliate to do PPC ?? I guess more control over how the company is promoted , anything else??
I suspect #67035 is the merchant using the network to track its brand PPC (or basically overwrite affiliate cookies without the need to internally de-dupe sales)
Ta
I got the email too.
Bizarre as I really don't promote Woolworths at all. I think I've got a banner somewhere but don't make any money from it (not unlike ALL affiliate window merchants to be honest)
