Is this 7.5% on first order, if a customer a existing customer we get nothing?
I order far too many pizza hut pizzas!! but have never opened an account so do you only get commission if they customer opens a new account
Update

Not sure whether welshest Wales is an exception to the rule but I've just typed in my postcode and out of 5 Hut's, 4 are offline (i.e. I cannot place an order with them as they are not web enabled). Also, the one I can place an order with is for collection only.
It would be interesting to see how a program like this a) can be promoted by affiliates and b) performs overall.
A program like this doesn't seem to fit in with anything I run (yet!) which is why I'm intrigued as to how other affiliates would promote such a program, other than PPC and voucher codes.
As for the overall performance, because of the collection only in my case, I wouldn't order online. I would be more inclined to visit the Hut after seeing the banner adverts. I'm just wondering how many like minded customers would do the same.
On a side note, I'm looking forward to seeing what incentives will be on offer! Free pizza (vouchers?) would go down a treat!![]()

Are the discount codes on a pizzahut page that can be deep linked too so that users click through to get the codes and burns a cookie?

I've got worse than that here in Colchester, Essex - no online stores!
I'm the voucher codes angle myself and can see this converting pretty well if they had coverage, but would find it hard to see how other styles of aff sites would approach it. Maybe a spammy Facebook app? "Who can make the tastiest pizza?", "The great big worldwide pizza hunt"?, just thinking aloud :drool
But at the end of the day it's the coverage issue, as a few have noted, that's letting it down. There's enough good affiliates around here with some crazy enough ideas to convert anything, and could up-sell the air we breathe!
Would be great, "First time customer - Free Pizza!" could work?
Anyway I'll give it a punt, but we're back to coverage.
Might be me taking an oversimplistic view of things but why does it matter if the stores have online capability.
If they don't, why don't Pizza Hut collect the details of the Pizza you want centrally, then either just email the details to the store in question or failing that use fax software to fax the details to your nearest store - hardly rocket science true - but it would enable all stores nationwide to have pizzas booked online for minimal cost...
As it is, I think this has potential but has maybe been rolled out a bit too early and could have done with more stores being online prior to launch.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.
I understand that and that's a smart business move but as drivetowin suggests, perhaps not enough stores are web enabled unless this program is more or less designed specifically for PPC affiliates who can geo-target.
POSSIBLE BUG REPORT: I did try to order online at 0945hrs this morning but it rejected every postcode I tried. I thought it might have been just a local issue but 11 Downing Street's postcode was not found and 10 Downing Street was rejected like my postcodes. Without a postcode, no order can be placed. Perhaps this is designed as such to prevent orders that cannot be fulfilled but a simple "We're closed" would make me try again later. No explanation would make me try elsewhere.
According to Pizza Hut History , Pizza Hut had 697 stores in 2006. That gives Pizza Hut a 43% restaurant availability. Partner that with their 30% UK coverage and the outlook's not good. Even if all stores were web enabled, using *approximate linear* maths, 100% web enabled Hut's would equate to 70% UK coverage. 70% is much better than 30% but it's still restrictive.
I'm still not sure of its viability for SEO affiliates. It's certainly something I would be interested in getting involved in but I just can't see how. My main problem with other affiliate programs is getting people to buy. If I have hungrybuyers, there's a 70% chance they are not in a web-enabled Hut area.
Fair comment. Hope it all goes well.

It doesn't surprise me that Pizza Hut cant deliver to my area, hell it takes me an hour to get to the nearest McDonalds
Good luck with the program though, its great to see something I can advertise on my old dominoes pages. 7.5% seems pretty reasonable however nothing for repeat business is a little disappointing as I am pretty sure that most people who have pizza delivered have it on a weekly basis.
I have signed up and am waiting to be approved.
Good luck with it Paul.
Ta
(wow been approved while I wrote the post - cheers)

You certainly have done and thanks for that. :tup
A question that's just popped up is regarding the commission. When I typed my postcode in yesterday, I could order for collection only (though that was through a delivery only franchise so I got confused there, though that's another story!). Does the Hut pay out for collection orders as well as delivery orders?
I'll stop with the questions now! :cry
