Is there a simple way to deeplink to specific pages?

Before someone says: 'use the deeplink tool' - IT DOES NOT WORK!

M&S like to add lots of obscure gibberish to the simplest of links and this, ultimately, leads to problems.
Even the links within the 'affiliate interface' don't seem to be working now, either?

Any suggestions would be gratefully received as I am struggling to manage my time at the moment between part-time affiliate and part time (unpaid) customer service advisor for M&S!

My links are working - both from the deep link tool and the datafeed.

The gibberish is URL encoding.

The deeplinker on AWIN adds extra parameters the to URL you give it:

So M&S Menswear URL:

http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/node/n/43371030/202-0298641-1586217?ie=UTF8&mnSBrand=core

becomes:

http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/redirect.html?source=affwin&location=http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/node/n/43371030/202-0298641-1586217?ie=UTF8&mnSBrand=core

and is then added to your link in the normal way:

http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=1402&awinaffid=!!id!!&p=http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/redirect.html?source=affwin&location=http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/node/n/43371030/202-0298641-1586217?ie=UTF8&mnSBrand=core

The link will work without being URL encoded, but you should double check with AWIN in case I missed anything.

I can get a link to work to the page illustrated but some other pages will not work.
In my experience, the more complex the initial url, the more likely it will be that the deeplink will fail?

I'm beginning to think that M&S aren't worth the bother, tbh?

They use the same platform as amazon did/do and looks like the same problem I used to have with them.

Your very welcome, you might want to still use the deep link tool on Awin though (with the URLs that work) - it was late when I looked at the code and I may have missed something
