You could always use open in new window? as another option.
Just updating my girls bikes page and thought I'd give Halfords a chance to see how they work, so for the time being I simply placed tower banner down the right hand side - and, as always, tested it to make sure it was working properly.
Everything seemed fine until I clicked the back button to return to my site, and the darn thing wouldn't budge - this is one of my pet hates - so I won't be using Halfords any time soon.
Not noticed this before, do other merchants do this?

Seems strange there not letting you go back :-s, it really annoys me too when i cant go back on a site !
If the click opens up in a new window or tab, obviously the option to go back is irrelevant.
However, due to the amount of redirects involved - sometimes clicking the back button once doesn't cut it. Try clicking the drop-down option on the back button or clicking a couple of times if you need to go back.
It may depend on the browser too.

so many sites do this with javascript redirects so that when you go back... you go back... then go forward again! bloody annoying if you ask me
