I am new here and new to affiliate marketing. I am setting up a new website very soon and will be selling my own products. I am looking to join an affliate network to increase sales, however I am unable to find out any information on how to join or more importantly, how much it costs to join as a merchant?

    Thanks,

    Ash

    Hi Jon,

Is it not possible to discuss on this thread as it will be easier. My website is not yet complete and I am only doing background research.

Also, there was another reply from another person, why did it get deleted?

    Best Wishes,

    Ash

    Hi Ashkan

Sorry to step in but thought I could help - Buy.at and other networks joining fees tend to be negotiable based on a variety of factors - probably not appropriate to discuss on a public forum. The other posters post was deleted as it was from a rival network. It is considered bad form to post in anothers networks forum any promotion.

For background research IN GENERAL ACROSS ALL NETWORKS you can expect to pay start-up fees of between £500 and £5000, monthly fees between £100 and £800 and a 30% override.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Ash,

I'm not speaking for Buy.at here. But do you think that they'd discuss confidential pricing information on a public forum?

Also I'd expect that buy.at would want merchants that don't mind picking up the phone and discussing their requirements.

    Its all about perception.

Thank you for your replies. All i wanted was a ball-park figure to see whether I am able to in fact invest in an affiliate system and hpops' message helped. Even at it's lowest with £100 a month is not something I can risk at the moment as my business is only it's in early days!
