    Thanks Mark.
It just seems like there are soo many people involved from awin trying to get this sorted, but we are all still left here waiting...

Is it a case that you can not contact Boysstuff at all, or is discussion pending a meeting?

    Appreciate your response

    Hi All,

I hope the fact so many Affiliate Window employees have posted on this thread, highlights the number of people actively working to get this sorted out.

We have had limited contact with Boystuff regarding the issue. Having spoke to them yesterday they informed us that they wanted to speak with all affected affiliates directly. Therefore, I am sure you will be hearing from the very shortly if you haven't already.

However, this certainly doesn't satisfy our own concerns about the Boystuff de-duplication process, and we are continuing to look into this as a matter of urgency. The trouble we are having at the moment is establishing just what the rules for this de-duplication process actually are. The people we need to speak to at Boystuff (their head of technical and CEO) are currently overseas and not returning until next week.

No other employees there have been able to accurately describe how Boystuff are de-duping their sales. This information is pretty crucial to solving the problem, as it will allow us to identify why the decline rate has increased so dramatically, and give us an idea about what needs to be done to solve it. Without this information, we are just speculating about the problem.

I appreciate this is hugely frustrating for everyone. Believe me, it is just as frustrating for us, but if we can't talk to the right people we are never going to get to the bottom of this issue. Hopefully you can appreciate that usually we have a fast turn-around on these kind of issues, but due to seasonality and key individuals being unavailable this is taking longer to resolve than any of us would like.

I will continue to update this thread as and when I have more answers from Boystuff.

As always, if you want me to go through this in more detail don't hesitate to give me a call.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the follow-up, and I really appreciate (as I am sure the other affiliates do) the effort you and awin are putting in trying to get this resolved.

It really is strange how boysstuff have become so difficult to contact on this matter - I always thought they were a pretty good merchant.
I really hope this can be resolved. Did they say when they were hoping to contact the concerned affiliates (I have a few £££ that was removed) and so am keen to hear from them as soon as possible. I just hope it wont be one of those general (we are dealing with the issue) emails, but one specific to each affiliate with the intention of resolving this.

Once again, thanks Anothony and awin for pushing this..

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

Just to reiterate Anthony's previous post. Boysstuff are currently unable to advance this as the key individuals who know all about the deduplication process are away. Until we (and they) get clarity on this, there's little we can do.

Now that this issue has been raised they are keen to investigate and resolve it but do have to wait for their head of tech returns. I'm sure you can appreciate that this is less a delaying tactic and more to do with unfortunate timing.

We'll update just as soon as we can.

    Kind Regards

    Mark

We've all seen this as early signs of a trader going bump previously. I hope it's not the case for BoysStuff, but this sort of behaviour is a little worrying...

No they haven't contacted me either.

Nor did I expect them too.

Why should they? Ive generated a load of sales from them via my mailing list and my high traffic site. They have now got all that money and have come up with some mickey mouse story about duplications and arent paying me commissions due.

    What an absolute joke.

They have the money. They dont want to pay commissions. NONE of my sales are anything to do with any duplication issue.

They just dont want to/cannot afford to pay.

Quite how they are still on Awin after this behaviour is beyond me. There is a word for what they have done....

I fully appreciate your ongoing frustrations with this matter.

To give you yet another update (thought I would give Anthony a rest!) I did get through to Boysstuff a short time ago. The person I spoke to was not our ususal contact - as she was out of the office and her manager has been abroad at a trade show which I suspect is why no one has yet been in touch.

We have stressed that correspondance with concerned affiliates is absolutely essential and have been assured that this message will be passed onto our contact. I will be trying their office again in the morning to follow up.

roarer02 and paullus - please can you email me with your affiliate ID and contact details.

If anyone has any questions then you are welcome to please contact me directly or send me a PM.

    Sincere apologies to all concerned....

I feel that thats an unreasonable (and potentially libellous) statement as we've yet to hear an official response.

"I feel that thats an unreasonable (and potentially libellous) statement as we've yet to hear an official response."

A rather bizarre comment. There is absolutely nothing in my comments that is not true, unless you know otherwise?

My issue with voided commissions is almost a month old. Ive had many 'official responses' from BoysStuff, before Awin became involved.

The 'official responses' from them were not too helpful though. If I were to show them to you it would most likely allay any fears you may have about my comments being libellous.

Oh, and they still have my money.

If you are worried about litigation perhaps you should just remove this thread from the forum?

Though it does seem AW are trying to sort. As for someone being out of the office or abroad at a trade show. If the merchant were commited to resolving an issue for affiliates. I do hear that calls can be made internationally by land line, there has been a recent invention called the mobile phone & email is quite popular. Has this merchant made any concerted effort to get in touch with AW or the affected affiliates? I would need more info to form an opinion, as only part is being presented here, but something doesn't sit well.

    Hi all,

Our contact has now provided me with the following update which is that their head of technical operations will be back in the office towards the end of week (Thurs or Fri) so until he is available for discussion we can not move forward.

    Many thanks

Looking forward to hearing from boysstuff once they are back today regarding this issue.
If any affiliates had some boysstuff sales validated yesterday, did you get a lot less declines?

On a similar note, I think it would be an interesting excercise for Awin go through all the concerned affiliates numbers for boysstuff in december. Look at all the declined sales, but only with the reason 'Not Last Referer'. And compare the percentage this makes up. My gut feel is that this will be almost the exact same percentage for all affiliates, and if that is the case, then there is something not too kosher here...

anyways...until we here something from boysstuff...
