Good point but, I'm sure AW will confirm this, the only details passed on are not enough to identify any individual or contain personal details etc, simply enough to identify 'a particular' sale and doesn't breach any Data Protection regs.
Now that is what I find really worrying - Is this data not covered by the Data Protection legislation and can you do this? However, to save any back and forth feel free to drop me an email with your affiliate_id and I can download a CSV of all transaction details for you to pass onto Boysstuff.
If I order on a Merchant website then their DP registration would name DigiWin as a recipient BUT not me as an affiliate - be careful!

Thanks Bud - just checking as I still have memories of the last .cc AW email debacle!
Have passed on my sales details to Boysstuff too.
I know that Boystuff will perform their checks with 100% integrity and look forward to getting an honest response![]()
anyone hear back from Boysstuff?
anyone get their money back?
or have they quietly 'got away with it'?
I sent my details to them and they came back and said that definitely not one of the sales in the report were mine as of "not last referrer"
I have just sent a few more to them, specifically where the click and sale were only minutes apart, as i want them to double check this.
Will let you know what I hear.
well at least you got a response Cash Champion
A week later Ive heard nothing. Pretty unimpressive considering this issue is almost two months old now.
I suspect though that they are in a bit of a bind with me; Not one of my sales has 'not last referrer' as an issue. They know this.
Perhaps the bloke dealing with it at Boys Stuff/Dream Internet doesn't want to put his name to an email response that he knows to be a lie.
I wouldnt.
Just wondering if you ever got a reply roarer?
Yes I got a response after a month or two.
A rather pathetic one - which didnt really address anything.
Funnily enough, they didnt want to pay me my money.
They still have my money, and, as far as I know, are still on Awin.
All a rather ugly state of affairs.
This looks bad from an outsider's point of view having just read through this whole post. I would definitely like to see a higher level of transparency regarding brand deduping on all programs. Credit to AWIN for looking at (and hopefully introducing) details to the interface for each and every merchant.
We nearly always ask merchants if they overwrite affiliate cookies in the travel sector and there are some that do and some that dont. Those that don't in our experience are run by agencies with a vested interest (and I'm talking about some pretty high profile travel merchants here). If a merchant really wants to take advantage of the distributed sales reach of an affiliate network overwriting via the brand bid (especially in travel) is a step backwards.
So, to summarise, lets hope we start to see some transparency on the interfaces of the networks. Oh and don't touch boysstuff with a barge pole!
