Aspinal of London clarification of voucher code policy

The Aspinal of London affiliate programme has got off to a great start and we would like to thank you all for your efforts in promoting Aspinal of London.

While the majority of affiliates are using Aspinal of London discount codes responsibly, a small number are not promoting them in the manner that we would wish.

Therefore to clarify the situation, please note that from midnight tonight, commission will be declined for any sales from an affiliate site which either

a) encourages users to click through to the Aspinal of London site to obtain a discount code without previously displaying the approved affiliate discount code ASPAF1 and detailing the offer available - I.e. 10% off

or

b) displays any discount codes for Aspinal of London other than the approved affiliate discount code ASPAF1

or

c) advertises an Aspinal Boxing Day sale - Aspinal of London does not have a sale starting on Boxing Day.

As both a) and b) will be required anyway by 1st January to comply with the new IAB Voucher Code Best Practice, this change should not give you any extra work.

We are currently reviewing the commission structure for discount code websites where the user searches on Google or other paid search engines using Aspinal brand terms and we will be communicating again with you about this soon.

If you have any doubts over whether your site needs any modification to comply with the above, please email our affiliate manager keith@arcticsunrise.co.uk with the url(s) of the sites involved.

We would like to stress that we are keen to work with ALL affiliates to drive business through the Aspinal of London website, but obviously from a commercial perspective we must ensure that it is good 'new' business which ultimately will benefit us all.

when does this code expire?

I think it goes further than the new IAB recommendations.

Surely as its a valid code in the affiliate channel so click to reveal can be used? Or maybe...

you have a landing page that promotes the code making it an onsite 'deal' or 'offer' so we voucher site owners have to list it as such ie. without a click to reveal?

Anyway I have amended my site.

As for an expiry, I have it as ongoing, I am sure they will let us know when it ends.
