I bought bikes for my two youngest kids at christmas. Orginally i went into store to request the 10% discount & readily assembled, they said I had to do it online for a click ^ collect. I came back to do online but it said that the particular outlet I wished to purchase from didn't have it in store when I knew they did. (whilst most other outlets did have it) I drove back to store, service plesant but very slow, and explained to them & duly got the 10% discount. Had to take bikes bike after first spin, cos they were assmbled not quite right (not dangerous).

Is it possible there are local cookie issues?

Hi All,

Our technical team have audited the tracking for the Halfords programme today and confirmed that it is working correctly.

Halfords are aware of the issues around the Collect in Store function and are working to adapt the programme to give the appropriate rewards to affiliates for referals.

I'm hoping to be able to provide an update on this tomorrow.

Hi all,

We appreciate your concerns over Reserve and Collect and the impact this may have had and we are constantly working to find a balance between promoting store-led and online focused offers.

Sat Nav in particular is a very strong product for online orders, which comprise the majority of sales for the category. The vouchers that we offer for Sat Nav are also only available for online orders, so this is a key line to promote.

On top of this we are now offering a further 5% off everything excluding Sat Nav using a unique voucher code, which is on top of the existing VAT savings.

Later this week we will also be reducing delivery leadtime from 5 to 4 days, which will further boost online orders, and you will be able to order before 2pm for next day delivery.

This should all have a significant impact on conversion rates, and as several posts here have shown it is already possible to get some very strong conversion rates from the programme by targeting the right areas. We will be putting some tips together on how to get the most out of the programme, strong performing categories and products.

Matt are you saying there is a new 5% voucher code? Or a sale of 5% off all purchases? that we can promote.

I've checked the awin offers blog, all alerts, the Halfords site and the awin discount code section; but can't find any reference to this.

The offer is 5% extra off everything except Sat Nav until the end of the month. You should have received an email and can also see the details here:
