I would request some feedback and comments from UK Affiliates about the following, because it would appear that you guys are being conned as much as we Affiliates are

It is my plain to see from reading this merchants terms and by visiting their site, that by sending a visitor to their website, the customer will be offered quotes on:

- home insurance
- travel insurance
- motorcycle insurance
- motor insurance

and if you also take the Carsource banner that is offered by The Insurance centre at UK Affiliates, the customer is also offered the opportunity to buy a new or used car.

So what does the Affiliate get in return for sending customers there?

They "very kindly" offer to pay a massive 35 pence on every MOTOR INSURANCE quote ONLY.

Therefore if a customer gets a home/motobike or travel quote or policy, the Affiliate gets NOTHING!!!

Now this is where it hit's UK Affiliates in the pocket.

It would appear that The Insurance Centre has taken up an Affiliation with Carsource which they are actively marketing using Carsource banners in the Insurance Centre section of UK Affiliates . Therefore not only is UK Affiliates missing out on another customer, if an affiliate is stupid enough to put up the Carsource banner for The Insurance Centre - they are giving them customers which then, if they proceed to do business with Carsource, The Insurance Centre gets the commission and UK Affiliates and the affiliate gets NOTHING!!!!

For those of you who want to do business with Carsource, then you simply go directly to their site and sign up as an Affiliate in your own right. Interestingly if you go to the Carsource site via The Insurance Centre, you will see that the fact that Carsource offer an Affiliate program is concealed. I am not suggesting in any way that UK Affiliates are responsible, after all they will only make available the banners supplied by the merchant - but this is one cunning and possibly very greedy merchant that should not be touched especially when other insurance affiliations will pay £10 per sale and more.

Do they really think that we are mugs? And some of you wonder why I am evangelising the need for an Affiliate Association in here in the UK.

UK Affiliates, can we have your comments please! Do you really need merchants of this calibre?
