Is this offer actually on? It seems to me that most products that I would have been interested in have actually increased in price in the last couple of days rather than be discounted.

It's pretty bad form to advertise a sale but then stick the 'standard' prices up first - that said it is becoming more common and is something I've seen happen a few times now.
