Since last login
My 'Since last login' figures are no longer displaying any amounts but instead show a 'show' button.
When I click this 'show' button, nothing happens.

I've tried it a number of times, both of them in the hope that something will happen too.
Nothing yet though....

the buttons actually take up more space than the figures do.. please remove these rather pointless buttons and put it back to normal :P . .. everyones still gonna click the button anyway so its not going to reduce the number of calls to the database!
pleeeeeeeease!

Hi,
Frustrating as it may seem I can assure you this is not a pointless change. We are obliged to make this change in order to ensure we meet our commitment to providing a quality service across the board.
To calculate the values for confirmed and pending sales since last login we need to make expensive queries to some of our primary database tables. Doing this has a knock on effect in the system and causes disruption to other processes. As these queries can not easily be further optimised we have had to take the difficult decision to try and limit their usage by making them explicitly requested actions.
We do not wish to unnecessarily hamper our users, our objective is to continuously improve the user experience not diminish it. We are logging usage of this feature and there has already been a dramatic reduction in the number of these requests reaching the database so it would appear that users are not still clicking the buttons anyway. We have also seen a marked improvement to the overall responsiveness of the service, so from that respect it has done what we intended it to do.
We deliberated long and hard over this decision and in the end we felt this was a fair compromise, one or two additional clicks to retrieve your since last login figures in return for consistently more responsive reporting across the board.
We will continue to monitor this change and if, over time, we feel it has failed to achieve its goal, we would obviously look at changing things again.
I hope this helps you understand and appreciate why the change was made.
Finally, this feature was tested extensively before we deployed so I'm disappointed to hear that some of you are having issues with it. If you could let me know your browser and OS details I'll get QA to look again at this for you.

Seems to be ok to me using Mac OS X 10.6.2 in both Firefox & Safari. Also noticed this (may have) reduced the usually Monday morning Awin slowness?

Yes this is certainly part of the reason, Monday morning obviously being one of those busier periods where any performance issues are most noticeable. We have also made some changes to a couple of other heavy reports as part of our migration to a new reporting service.

Hi,
OSX version is 10.6.2 (not 10.6.3 as stated before)
Firefox is v 3.5.6
Same thing on Safari also,
Basically, if I login and then click on the Show icon, it just hangs.
If I click on My Account link, and then click on Show, it loads, but always shows 0.00

On the plus side, I've not had problems but can certainly see the improved speed.

Firefox 3.5.6 - Windows XP at work
Firefox 3.5.6 - Windows 7
Tried both with IE 8
Fair enough about improving the user experience but we were all v happy until the change. Now I cant see any sales lol so thumbs down to the new user experience from me im afraid

It's worked for me if I refresh the page after clicking on the button. Not sure if that counts as a fresh login though.
Could that entire panel be moved to a new page altogether, with the stats shown as they used to be? There would be an extra click from the home page but would eliminate the click to reveal feature.
Perhaps have a summary stats page with earns since last login, as well as pending and confirmed figures for the day, week and month to date?

Doesn't work for me even after a refresh. Tried FF, IE and Chrome
Really dissapointing. Surly AW should be collating some stats, logs to see where the error lies?

Naturally we do this but as you can see from the posts on this thread it is not an issue that effects all users and intermittent bugs can be very difficult to track down. I'm sorry you feel so disappointed, we are currently rerunning our tests and hope to have the bug isolated and fixed very soon.
