I seem to recall reading somewhere else (and this isn't word-for-word, and I wouldn't dream of sticking my oar into AWins' business) that merchants have a couple of dynamic parameters that they can insert into emails - "!password!" and "!username!" being a couple of them...
|
Indeed, merchants can use several different tags in teh emails to affiliates, including !!!aid!!! for your id and !!!password!!! for your password.
The mailing from bibacity yesterday has already been brought to my attention and I've requested that the !!!password!!! tag facility be removed.
Please note that merchants do not have access to your password. They can currently include your password in emails they send to you, but this functionality should be removed shortly.
Please accept our apology for any alarm this has caused, and feel free to change your password on the 'account details' page of your account.
