2U Phone Insurance - Reviews please

Hi,

We have been with Affiliate Window for 3-4 months now as a Merchant, and to be honest havent seen a huge amount of success with them.

We do very well in the search engines and through our own 2U affiliate network (we signed up with AW to reach a greater affiliate audience). If you type "mobile phone insurance, "phone insurance" or any similar variation into Google, we pepper the first 3 pages quite well. However, we are not seeing a similar response through AW.

I would really appreciate feedback from anyone, affiliate or otherwise, with your thoughts on why this might be.

We are offering £14 per sale of our 2U Mobile Phone Insurance through AW, which doesnt have the credit check fails that the contract phones do, so more orders complete. It is the most fully comprehensive phone insurance in the UK so is easy and simple to sell to customers.

Dont most mobile companies either give or sell insurance when people buy the phones? I know I was offered when I last had my mobile phone.

Really you can put an advert anywhere, doesnt neccessary mean that people are going to want something. On a google search then really thats people who are directly looking for phone insurance. Where as on a shopping site, that might be the last thing on someones minds.

Unless a websites an actual phone related website then again it`s a case of possibly wanting results from a slow moving business.

Also if someone is advertising car phone warehouse or one of the larger mobile stores, be expecting a lot to get hits to an unknown name.

After a VERY long time (!) I have just seen this thread again. We stopped using AW because the results were smaller than the costs. That is not an indictment against AW - they just didn’t have the right affiliates for us at that time.

Since then, as before, we have run everything through our own affiliate network at Home Mobile Phone Affiliates selling at Cheap Mobile Phone UK | Free Mobile Phones | Mobile Phone Insurance and Upgrades

Because we are no longer having to pay a third party affiliate network, we have since been able to increase the commission amount we pay out affiliates.

There has a also been a lot of extra insurance products beyond just the phone insurance ones - iPhone, iPod, Xbox, Wii, laptop, computer etc - basically any electronic gadget. More insurance products are still to come, beyond just the gadgets (mortgage payment protection, indemnity etc).
