2596 clicks - 1 sale pending for £1.05!!

They are now gone from my site and never to return!!

Lets hope Currys are a bit better!

Hey Mooash,
Know the feeling and when there is a sale, its a poor %commission rate.

Same across the board for electrical retailers. I have changed from ED to 247electrical, sales have increased a tad, nothing special. Probably due to the fact that they have a huge Freephone number across their header. Getting changed again when I get time.

Also putting the rest of my Eggs somewhere else!!

Its a nightmare cos theres such a good demand for it aswell. Bennets was fairly decent on DGM but then they went and cancelled it!

can anyone recommend a good electrical retailer with a datafeed that has a good range of plasma displays ? particular one without a freephone number all over the place!

Just wanted to let you know my experience with phone numbers on sites.
Although it look like it may be a bad thing I know for sure that the reality is that people still book online at almost the same rate.
Also having a phone number on your site actually make people more confident with purchasing online.

I know from experience that you should not see a phone number on a site as a negative point.

24-7 electrical is a great converter.

i can see this for smaller items, but not for plasmas. with someone spending over 2k, possibly 4k, i suspect many wouldn't take the "risk" with their credit card online and simply phone the nice big freephone number in front of them. surely this is a perfect example of why we need offline tracking?

There is too much leakage of sales with prominent numbers, whereby "any" network should look towards an offline ordering solution with decicated numbers.

for example if 50% of sales are telephone orders, then the commission should be doubled. Within a cookie period the user is presented with a different telephone order number so that the affiliates manager has sales registered to the success of the affiliate program in which they can report to their seniors in the analysis of the program, otherwise the affiliate program might not be deemed the success it actually is.

With home electrical and audio visual products I find that:

Pricerunner and Comet do the business with Adsense prominently displayed before the first shop making a very tidy EPC.

Empire Direct and Dixons I gave up on a long time ago.

One nice thing about Comet is that you can specify the time of delivery...

Actually Argos are quite good, someone steal Comet and Argos from CJ purleeeaaase!
