Strange Request from AW merchant

Hi,

A couple of days ago, I had the following strange email from a merchant on AW - I've removed the name as it was a private email:

Dear Affiliate, I request that you remove any banner ads, text links, company descriptions, descriptive paragraphs of any type and any other linking buttons, which direct traffic to our company and relate in any way to {SITE 1 REMOVED} and {SITE 2 REMOVED}. I would appreciate that these actions take immediate effect. Kind Regards, {MERCHANT NAME REMOVED} ================================================== ========= You have received this email because you are a member of {MERCHANT NAME REMOVED} affiliate program To unsubscribe simply visit the link below. CLICK HERE

I've been an affiliate for many many months, but have never had a conversion with this particular merchant, not have I had any other communications from them before. I have removed the links as requested, but I have not had any reply to the email that I sent them asking why they wished me to do this.

Can anyone shed any light on why they would feel it necessary to send this email?

Think I know who you're talking about, but as no one else had posted here about it I presumed we'd done something wrong !

No reply to the email that Kirsty sent to them on Tuesday either.
