  Question ShopWindow Help

Can anybody tell me how to use the ShopWindow please? I am so new that I don't even have an idea to start! I have applied to use the Shopping Channel features from AW several times but have not had any respond....... just wonder what's going wrong or I did it the wrong way. Is there anywhere I can get help on how to start using this (like a help file or something like that?) Just doesn't seem any "help file" available from AW. Also, what do I need at my side to use this feature? I got only DreamWeaver and a basic hosting account. Cheers and thanks a lot for reply!

From within AW interface right hand menus select "Shopping Channel" and there's a "download software" link in grey box top right.

It's a ZIP archive which includes instructions. It wasn't easy to set up without asking for help but I did eventually manage to get it up and running but it hasn't really generated the level of sales I was hoping it would.

The main stumbling block for me has been trying to implement a paging feature so the search results can be navigated easily instead of having to step through from 1 to 10 zillion looking at the same bunch of products time after time.

PS If anyone has got some simple, easy to understand paging working I'd really appreciate a leg up with this.

I did set up a paging feature when it was in beta and gave the code to Awin, It hink it might be on the forum to somewhare.

I've just tried using shopwindow again this week and it seems far to slow to be of any use, most requests timing out after 30secs. If others are still getting on ok with it I'll have another look.

Going back to the original point, it has been a bit of a pig to get working, manly down to the install routine having bugs. Just ask Awin for help.

Renegade, I couldn't find a post in the forum, but I've attached the code from an email I sent Marc mid 03 (time flies!)

Here's the code... sorry its my normal "hacked till it works" style. Just stick it in towards the end of the parseTemplate function (in awsoapclientfunctions.inc.php, just before Return $fcontents; - line 395 ish) and use ages /> in the template. Was created before the new paginater fields were added.
I hope that helps (and I hope it still works!)

  Question Applied but no respond

renegade, I did exactly as you said but being told that my account isn't product enable and that I would need to click on a link to apply for it. THE THING IS THAT I HAD DONE THIS (APPLY FOR IT) TWICE AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY RESPOND. Anyone have any idea on what's going on or I have done something wrong in procedure? Thanks

Hi Rich, thanks for the pagination doodah, I'll take a look and let ya know if it still works when I get a mo - BTW it seems to be up to speed today but some days it's terrible.

ukyellowpage: Suggest you raise a support ticket within the AW interface and see if you get a response, they're moving offices so probably a bit pre-occupied.

We still have not recieved a ticket from your account regarding the shopwindow application. We need you to do this so we know who you are and then we can activate your account. Cheers
