Heres the figures, generated by affiliate windows "milestone in affiliate marketing".
Apparently from my report generated from the 1st of January 2004 to todays date, i managed to get some whoppingly good traffic buzzing around the net.
Heres what bugs me the most, i have a really heavy tracking statistics program on my site, i can see how many unique users there were that day, the total amount of clicks to products (including search engine traffic etc). I can turn this information into day, weeks, hours, upside down and inside out and they still dont relate anything like what affiliate window tell me.
impressions: 16,992,183 (thats right 16.9 million)
Clicks: 2,110,596 (again 2.1 million)
sales: 10
commision: a measly £31.70 (ta very much,)
Now my thoughts are, if this data is wrong, then how wrong is everything else. According to my figures my conversion rate sinks well below 0.0001% which if that is the case, i must be the lowest converting affiliate in the universe.
Also, its well below what affiliate window show as the average income per click. Its not so much the money that bothers me, thankfully i can live off my girlfriends immoral earnings but it just makes you think how wrong can people be.
If this data is wrong then maybe they get datas wrong on the merchants side as well?
Maybe merchants could answer this thread as well as other affiliates to see if i
am the only one? Its not a dig, but if there is a problem it would be great to get it fixed, i would love accurate stats like affiliate window give.
