Offtek - Not impressed

I often buy things "Mystery Shopper" style to see how merchants I promote work and most of the time things run smoothly.

However I ordered a memory stick through Offtek last Thursday from their site which said it was "in stock" and it still hasn't turned up.

I phoned their 0800 number and was told the item I had ordered was 5-15 day delivery. I said it was in stock when I ordered it. They offered to cancel my order.

I hung up checked the site and it's still online shown as in-stock so I phoned back, different person, said it's 5-15 day delivery. I said it's in stock online right now, they checked and went quiet for a bit then said "To be honest we lost your order" OK I said, what now, they said "We'll order one today from Sony and when we get it we'll dispatch it to you special delivery". Hmmn, but the website says it's in stock now...

Not impressed, it could be an isolated experience but given their reaction I think I'll be moving them down the page!

Did you get a pending commission for the "lost" order?

That hadn't occured to me... [time passes] erm... no. Not good.

...and as the replacement order was done manually, you probably won't get the commission for that one either! :-(
