Empire Direct Commission

I occasionally use my own price comparison site to find the cheapest products And indeed, as it was the cheapest, I've just purchased something from Empire Direct...

At first, the pending commission looked a little lower than I expected, but after some thought, I've now worked out what the commission is based on. The postage cost is not included, and neither is the 17.5% VAT. This can make quite a difference.

There is nothing wrong with this at all - but it would be nice if this could be made clear on the merchant information page - I couldn't find anything specific about this.

I wonder how many merchants include (or not) postage and/or VAT in their commission calculations?
