Hi Everyone

Sorry about shouting in the subject, but this really is very important.

Last week we made extensive changes to the Blushingbuyer site, this means that it is very likely that your links are either not working, or not tracking.

Please, please, please check that your links are working properly, and that you have used the latest links from affiliate window to ensure that tracking is also working.

If you are deep linking to Blushingbuyer you will NEED to change your links.

Below is my guide to deep linking to our site, as far as I am aware the deep link generator on the Affiliate window site is not working yet, so please use the information below to build your links. Alternatively drop me an email with your affiliate id, and the page/product you would like to link to and I will build the links for you. (This may take a few days as we are very busy, and I am off to the A4u forum Amsterdam GTG on Thursday).

We have also deleted a LOT of outdated blushingbuyer creative from Affiliate Window.

We are aware that tracking has not been working for the past few days and blushingbuyer will be sorting out some form of compensation based on previous performance, again due to current commitments, this can't be done until next week, but it will be done.

We will be adding some new creative very soon, so if any of you are graphic designers and would like some work, please get in touch! In the mean time please bear with us!

Guide to deep linking;

To generate the deeplink the url that goes on the end of the awin url needs to take the following format;

Deeplinks
(to a section)
http://www.blushingbuyer.co.uk/wl.aspx?9&req={section number}

(to a product)
http://www.blushingbuyer.co.uk/wl.aspx?9&req={section number}-{product code}

(to a brand page)
http://www.blushingbuyer.co.uk/wl.aspx?9&man={brand name}

To find the section number browse to the correct page on our site such as;

The section number is '155--,234'

To find a product code browse to the correct page on our site such as;

The section number is 155 and the product code is 990206. Please note product codes can be either numeric or letters.

To find the brand name browse to a brand page on our site such as;
http://www.blushingbuyer.co.uk/produ...e-solaire.html

The brand name is the text between the last / and the '.html' in this care ambre-solaire.

You've certainly cleaned out the creative now and with only a handful left the only banner ad left is a christmas promotion. Can you replace that ASAP please.

Hi, there will be some new creative up next week, sorry about the rubbish selection available right now.

Edited to say some new creative has been uploaded this afternoon (fri) we will look at this next week and add a few more options, with new creative being added each month.

There are still a lot of affiliates who have not updated their links, without updating them sales will not be tracked.

Our side of things is now all OK, tracking is working, some new creative is up, product feed is live and working, site is working well, and although traffic is down, conversion rate is well up, so looking good.

As for affiliates changing their links!?!?!?!?

I'm not sure what else to do really, sent out a pre change warning and post here, sent out another email and post here once the change had been made, and have kept this thread as alive as possible without taking the p1ss, but still the majority of affiliates haven't updated their links. This includes some large affiliates who have been quite vocal about merchants not communicating changes effectively!!

Not sure what else we can do really, I'll try contacting affiliates individually, but some are pretty hard to track down. ( Affiliate Window doesn't share contact details with us Merchants, and Affiliates tend to list sites that dont have contact details)

If you send me some blurb Ill do an alert on my blog and inlclude in my news letter, wont reach all affiliates by a long shot, but may reach some, if you can pm details

Hi Steve, I've just checked my site and I am still using the old text links. I was waiting for the Xmas banners to be replaced before I updated the page. Now that they are there today, I'll crack on.

Peter, I wish it were that easy, I have no way of telling which affiliates have not updated their links, most don't list the sites that they are actually using to promote us within the awin interface, so I can't see if the links are up to date, and then there are those doing PPC, altough I'm pretty certain most of those affiliates are more on the ball and have got their links updated. However thanks for the offer, and if I do come accross any links that have not been updated and am unable to contact the affiliate I will get in touch.
