  Currys Now Live on Affiliate Window

I am delighted to announce the launch of the Currys programme on the Affiliate Window network.

Currys is the UK’s biggest Electrical retailer and offers one of the most extensive product ranges online with over 6,000 lines. The range covers all electrical categories such as kitchen appliances, digital vision, DVD, home theatre, audio and photographic technology.

The Currys brand name continues to be the most searched term on the UK’s number one search engine; Google. This means you will have one of the top brands featured on your website along with top product brands such as Apple, Tom Tom, Indesit, Samsung, Dyson, Toshiba, Sony, Miele, to name but a few.

The default commission is 2% for online transactions, but affiliates can earn up to 3.5% commission for higher volumes of sales. Any ‘reserve & collect’ sales pay half of your regular commission and ALL transactions are on an extended cookie length of 45 days.

PLUS, to ensure affiliates really do get the most from their migration, Currys are offering an increased commission structure for a limited period only! Until midnight on Wednesday 16th May you’ll have a chance to earn up to 28% more per sale, with all affiliates earning commissions based on the following structure:

Default Level: Normal = 2% Promotion = 3%
£25-60K Sales: Normal = 3% Promotion = 4%
£60K+ Sales: Normal = 3.5% Promotion = 4.5%

And to help you get going straight away we have a fantastic on-site offer for you to promote!

Mega Deals
08:00 3rd May – 00:00 8th May 2007

Currys are offering their customers FREE delivery on all orders over £249. A full range of banners is available within the account.

And keep your eyes open for more promotional opportunities coming soon!

PLEASE NOTE: To obtain the free delivery customers must use the discount code provided on the Currys landing page. All of Affiliate Window’s banners will automatically direct traffic to this page of the site, but for those of you not using banners please ensure you use the following link, not forgetting to add your affiliate ID: http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?awi...K02_Affiliates.

Programme Restrictions

PPC
Affiliates are not allowed to bid on the word 'Currys' within their PPC activity. This restriction includes misspellings of the brand.
Examples: Currys, Curry's, Curries etc.

Affiliates are also not allowed to bid on the word 'Currys' followed by a generic term such as a product type or number. This restriction includes misspellings of the brand.
Examples: Currys Washing Machine, Curry's Laptop, Curries WM123UK etc.

To avoid broadmatch issues please include restricted terms as negative keywords in all your PPC campaigns for Currys.

Affiliates are allowed to link their PPC activity directly to the Currys website: www.currys.co.uk.

If affiliates wish to direct traffic through to their own site then their domains must not include the word 'Currys'. This restriction includes mis-spellings of the brand.
Examples: www.currrys.co.uk, www.curryoffers.com, www.curriesfridges.co.uk etc.

Datafeed
The Currys datafeed is updated every day at 9am. Affiliates are encouraged to collect the new product feed on a daily basis to ensure their product data is as up-to-date as possible.

Linking
Currys use additional tracking software. In order for your sale to be accurately recorded, it's essential that this information is included. The deep link generator will not work for this programme so affiliates must take links directly from the linking methods section of the account - banners, datafeed or static promotional tools.

Discount Codes
Affiliates are reminded that only discount codes issued by Affiliate Window are to be published or promoted on-site or in any e-mail marketing campaigns.

Reserve & Collect Sales

Cashback and loyalty sites are prohibited from making commissions on ‘reserve & collect’ sales

PLEASE NOTE: Any affiliate found breaking these programme restrictions risks immediate suspension from the Currys programme, losing any commissions accrued.

If you have any questions or requests for the Currys programme then please feel free to get in touch with me directly. Alternatively you can also speak to my colleague who will be working closely with me on the Currys account:

We look forward to working with you.

  Re: Currys Now Live on Affiliate Window

I know there has been a little confusion with affiliates, so to clarify here is the promotional commission structure for Currys which runs until the 16th May:

Online Transactions
Default = 3%
£25K-£60K = 4%
£60K+ = 4.5%

Reserve & Collect Sales
Default = 1%
£25K-£60K = 1.5%
£60K+ = 1.75%

From the 17th May the commission structure will return to:

Online Transactions
Default = 2%
£25K-£60K = 3%
£60K+ = 3.5%

Reserve & Collect Sales
Default = 1%
£25K-£60K = 1.5%
£60K+ = 1.75%

Kind Regards,

Sam.

I cannot promote you if I cannot deep link to products. Will this be fixed, if so when?

Ogopogo

You can deeplink - just download the product feed and extract the links for the products you want from there.

It's usually categories I want to deep link to, I rarely deeplink to specific products 'cos on a static site it's too cumbersome to check around and make sure everything is in stock. My deeplinks to categories seem to be working having used the deeplink generator before the AW posting. Can someone explain the sessionid bit in more detail?

Hi there,

If a URL has session IDs in it then it is not possible to deeplink to it as it causes the Currys site to break and customers to be re-directed to the homepage.

We are working on a solution to enable you to link to categories.

Thanks,

How's that solution coming along Chris? It's been 5 weeks now, and we still can't deeplink.

  Re: Currys Now Live on Affiliate Window

Hi John

Unfortunately we have not managed to get a solution for this yet. DSGi have this as priority on their list of developments for their affiliate programme. This list of developments has been added to the other projects that the DSGi website IT team have to complete. Indications are that it will be about 2-3 weeks before a solution will be developed.

I have been pushing for this to completed sooner but due to internal constraints at DSGi it has not been possible.

Regards
