We wanted to share a bit of exciting news with you. We have launched our first Airbus A330 Aircraft (Beauty Queen) the new aircraft took flight on the 2nd April 2011, from Manchester to Orlando. Our new fleet of 10 planes, which we will take delivery of over the next 2 years mean we can take more passengers to key destination.


The new Virgin Atlantic’s A330 aircraft will feature a revolutionary new IFE system by Panasonic. The new cutting edge system uses the latest touch screen technology which allows passengers to scroll and swipe through over 300 hours of content quickly and easily. Later this year Virgin Atlantic travellers flying on the A330 will be able to send and receive emails and texts on their Blackberries, handheld PDAs and other mobile devices.

To commemorate this joyous occasion our female staff will celebrate with shoes!! To complement Virgin Atlantic’s iconic uniform and due to the success of our TV campaign, we have launched brand new shiny red shoes. ‘Dorothy’ and ‘Dotty’ made their first appearance on the Beauty Queen flight from Manchester to Orlando. The red patent leather shoes have been made exclusively for Virgin Atlantic and will be rolled out to all female staff over the next couple of months.
