Affilinet acquires majority stake in CibleClick

Paris, Ebersberg/Munich, 15. December 2005 – affilinet GmbH, the leading affiliate network in Germany and 100%-subsidiary of AdLINK Internet Media AG, acquires 75% in two steps in CibleClick Performances S.A., a leading provider of performance based online marketing services in France. Shortly after the launch in the UK, affilinet continues its internationalization process and is now present in the three biggest European markets for the fast growing affiliate marketing business.

CibleClick was founded by Frederic Valette and Olivier Mouillet in June 2000 and provides full service solutions for performance based online advertising and customer acquisition to more than 200 clients through its network of more than 25,000 affiliates. Valette and Mouillet will stay as shareholders and continue to manage CibleClick in France and to develop the affilinet group into a leading force in Europe.

“This acquisition is a substantial step towards our goal to build a Top 3 affiliate network in Europe”, says Marc Stilke, Managing Director of affilinet and COO of AdLINK Internet Media AG. “We are happy to have the two founders of CibleClick and their excellent team as part of our team in order to offer our clients market leading performance networks and international campaigns in the three big markets in Europe.”

CibleClick is expected to achieve sales of 13,5 Mio. EUR this year. The financing is provided out of free cash and supported by AdLINK´s parent company United Internet AG, at standard market conditions.

Thats the second German network to buy out a french network hehe, i do love the terminologies though.."leading" does leading also mean the same as size as well?
