    Hi

I wondered if anyone out there could give my site the once over to see what they think of it.

I'm new to affiliate marketing but thought I would give it a try. Ive built a betting site and started getting some content on there but before I go mad and sign up for loads more affiliate programs I wanted to make sure I was on the right track design / layout wise. My thought are it might be a little bland looking and maybe some colour woudl help but I woudl be interested to hear what any affiliate experts think

    FreeBets online

Thanks for looking and any advice:tup

I wouldn't class myself as an expert but it looks nice and clean to me and not too confusing (which is too often the case with betting sites). I'd say well done.

Nice looking site. Just one thing, it doesn't fit width-wise on my screen so I have to scroll across to see the right hand side. My set-up is 1024x768, and there are still a number of people using 800x600 who would only see half the screen.

Whilst I'm not into betting sites I am sure it would benefit from content.

Not a bad effort at all.

You may want to no follow or 301 redirect your aff links (you can use a cloaker). I do like Joomla sites, and I am sure a plugin would be easy to find.

I feel the amount of bolding you have done is a little confusing. I would only bold the calls to action myself for ease of eye.

As free bets is predominately a UK search term I would probably list merchants that have a strong UK presence at the top of the homepage, it would also have the side effect of adding more credibility to the site. i.e. list Ladbrokes and Victor Chandler. I also don't think your Unibet link is not working, actually a few of them are not redirecting at all. You may want to test them.

Your site is just screaming to have a blog where you can talk about the latest merchant promos or sporting events, this will help bringing in traffic too. There is only so much you can talk about a free bet, most of the free bet sites do this and also work very heavily on seo with particular emphasis on link building. It is important to build a personality around your site. Why did you create this particular site? Do you have a personal interest in gambling? If so providing tips on what you bet might help create a community.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for all the replies. The advice is much appreciated for a affiliate novice.

I have resized the site to accomodate 1024px browsers. I have been meaning to do this for a while but your comment babrees spurred me into action so thanks for that.

I also plan to add a blog in the near future as I know how much traffic they can help to generate.

Liek i say its still a work in progresss and I do have plans to start link building in the near
future but just want to get a few things sorted with the site first and get everything sorted before i start trying to attract more visitors

    Thank you.

i can see what you're trying to achieve but it looks a little clunky... why not repurpose it (re-design) to appear more like time limited offerings like hotukdeals.com or some such site - this would give the users the prompting to act instead of just browsing standard deals, the illustaion of time sensitivity can make a big difference... it also helps get a community up and running and them coming back...

it needs a newsletter for weekly promotions or some such thing. again giving tie illusion of time sensitivity.

Really nice looking landing page.. My advice would be to look at the page loading speed as all those images need to load quicker. Will help with bounce rate and optimisation.

Good luck in your quest for Gold..

Hi there, I just thought I'd mention that the landing page says 'Feebets' not 'Freebets'.

Site looks great with that layout, but the color combination and the bottom space looks weird.
