    Hi,
Is there any way to fully track clicked links that turn into sales in Affiliate Window using Google Analytics so the full E-commerce value can be tracked. I'm assuming there would be a need to place the analytics tracking code somewhere within Affiliate Window, however it doesn't appear to have any facilities for this.

If this is not possible does anybody have any ideas how to trace sales into Google Analytics?
    Thanks

Unfortunately I think it's not possible. It would require the merchants to put your e-commerce tracking script onto the thank you page of their website (which obviously they're not going to want to do!). And even then you'd have some cookie handling nightmares to track it back to a click.

It might be possible with some other analytics packages such as Omniture SiteCatalyst - where you can import third party data files - but that would be a bit of a nightmare to set up (and SiteCatalyst is expensive!).

Unless anyone else has any bright ideas?

I actually thought it might be possible for Affiliate Window to include this facility i.e. there is an area where you can submit your tracking code. This is then activated when a sale is confirmed and can be linked to your clickref (which can also contain your keyword search term). This would give a full end-to-end report from site entry to succesfull conversion.
We just AW to add the facility now!

You're right, and it would be great for affiliates. Unfortunately I don't think that big merchants would allow it - many big merchants already carefully research any tracking codes they add to their checkout, and giving affiliates carte-blanche to put in whatever you want would probably cause those guys to baulk at the security implications. But maybe something simpler like just the ability to enter your Google Analytics ID would work? (Providing you can get around the cookie issues!).
