New gambling affiliate site - problems?

I've recently setup a Gambling affiliate site, with help from colleagues. They advised me to come here to ask you guys for advice and suggestions on improving my site. Improving my site technically, promoting it and help getting more conversions. I don't know if this rude of me to ask on my introductory post??? If not, any advice is welcome!

I think you're doing great actually. Here are a couple of suggestions you could take or leave:

1. All of your posts use the word 'preview'. I don't know the market, but I'd bet (honestly - bad pun not intended) you'd do better switching that for the word 'odds'. Surely you'll get more willing punters searching for 'Andy Murray odds' than 'Andy Murray preview'?

2. Your links are in the same colour as your regular text. Your site depends on visitors noticing & clicking on those links. Putting "Best odds on blahblahblah" in a contrasting colour means visitors will take them in immediately, rather than having to read through the posts word-for-word to know what they say & have the impulse to click them.

3. Set up an email list.

4. Build some more links & give it a bit more time. It looks like google is indexing you well, the site looks pretty good. It's still early days.

One question - why tennis on 'premiershiptips'?

Thanks Daniel for your excellent response (I hope me replying to this will not stop others from adding advice :tup ).

The "preview" instead of "odds" is because the posts are previews! But I understand your point and have just changed the latest tip to that, so hoefully from now that can attract more visitors.

The font colour and email list sound like great ideas. I will look into this.

Link building is my grey area. I'm not sure if link exchange is good or bad from the different view points I've heard. And being a new site, I'm not expectant any successful sites will want to link to me. But it's something I plan to learn about and then work on.

Ha, you're actually the first to ask about the name (probably because not many people have seen the site). premiertips.com is taken!! And the Premiership is going to be my main focus once the season starts again, so it's mainly based around that. But the plan was always to include Championship, NFL, tennis tips and maybe football abroad too (maybe?!? I've already started!!). It's quite catchy too don't you think??
