Yes. Most people have 3G phones, but they under-use their phones. Nowadays most companies are testing on SMS ads. In my country, there are a couple of companies who use this kind of ads, when you are customer of that particular companies. They will send special offers ads to notify their customers.

I think people are only recently (2-3 years) starting to look properly at internet marketing. I can see the mobile world following the same path in a few years (5 ish).
