Sorry to be blunt but don't waste any more time on those 2 sites.

Put yourself in the position of a user, what possible reason is there for them to use either site?

Shopping directory style sites may have worked in the early days of the Internet, but these days you stand no chance.

Choose a niche, target one country, and give users a reason to use your site. For example that could include providing useful or interesting content, something that makes their life easier, or something that helps them save money.

If you can solve these 2 problems you will be half way there -

How will you get visitors to your site?

Once you get visitors how will you get commissions from them?

The sites have far too little content on them at the moment

The scope of the website is not clear when you come for a first time. I agree that there are too little content. Also you have placed lots of outgoing links in the homepage. Maybe too many.

Your website is not attractive. Moreover it is complected for the user. Just think about a new user to internet, he can not find the message of your website. What do you want to say it is not clear at all. I suggest you to add some more content into the website.
