World Travel Market 14th-17th Nov 05 – Excel, London
The World Travel Market (WTM) is the most significant event in the calendar for the travel industry, and attracts some 5000 exhibitors from numerous destinations and travel organisations – both UK and international.
Now that affiliate marketing is becoming seriously recognised as an important distribution channel for a wide range of travel products, I would really like to see us have some form of representation at this event.
I know that one or two of the networks are keen on this, and hope that we can discuss this more next week. Just wondering if other affiliates have experience of attending trade shows and exhibitions which they might like to share with us, and whether some form of affiliate marketing stand, or perhaps a stand organised by one of the networks, could be arranged.
This could also be supported by some affiliates (who could perhaps do a day each), so we can make other travel industry players who have not yet “joined our party” more aware of what we do. A stand at this sort of event is way out of most affiliates’ budgets (mine included!), but I
am sure it would be really worthwhile for some of the networks to get together here, especially the pan-European / US & global ones.
