I've had msn antispyware beta installed for a week or so now and I've had 180 try to install twice, IST bar and a veritable plethora of other "helper" objects...
the chances of the average punter not having a 3 course menu of this crap on are minimal without antispyware programs being installed and even then they don't all work properly
Yeah not using IE looks like a solution to prevent ourselves getting spyware but only for the time being.
The bigger problem is helping joe bloggs not get spyware and unfortunately the ones that are savy enough to consider using Firefox or similar are probably savy enough to install antispyware anyway.
