    Hi all,

Just a quick reminder the last IAB meeting of the year takes place today at the IAB's offices in Macklin St at 3pm.

You can see the agenda here.

If that wasn't enough they'll be a few early Christmas drinks afterwards.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Will the ustream.tv recording be made publicly viewable? If so, when and where?. If not so, ah well!

Thanks Kevin, Dan et al... it was a very interesting meeting, answered a lot of concerns.

For the IAB/AMC knockers out there i can say your "knocking" in my opinion is misguided.

Having attended the meeting it very much came across to me that these guys are dedicated and commited to not only regulating but also cleaning up the industry and in a very concientious, fair and professional manner.

    Well done guys.

    Hi
Im trying to resolve some serious issues I have with an internet marketing company. They have taken an excessive amount from my business account which I did not agree to and was unaware of. They claimed to be part of Google when they contacted me. I have had aggressive threats from them and refuse to give me the name and contact details of their CEO. This company is I believe under a new name as they had so many complaints under the previous name. (Previously Lavora now Answerit )
I need my domain name from them and also a refund of the money they took without my consent .

Any help advice would be appreciated

    Thanks

Since nobody happears to have answered (publicly anyway) I'll have a go. This is in the wrong place, it has nothing to do with the IAB and they can't help you.

They don't even appear to have any phone number, address or company details listed on their site, so it probably shouldn't be any surprise that you got scammed, but doesn't make it any less painful now that its happened.

If someone has taken money from your bank account that you did not authorise, then its not the IAB you need, its the police, as that is fraud. You also need to contact your bank asap about having the charges reversed.
Goodbye everyone, I've retired from public forums. If you know it, you can reach me on my email address. Thanks.

In addition to Johnny's comments - if you gave them credit card details to make the payment, you may already have some protection cover for this fraudulent based transaction and it might be worth calling your credit card company for some advice.

Unfortunately I don't think debit cards cover you in quite the same way.

You can find the CEO name from companies house website (cost you £1).
