I currently have three specific parasite programs on offer on my site. Weathercast, Bargain Buddy and Exact.

Even though they can be profitable I shall be terminating my arrangements with them within the next couple of months, when suitable alternatives can be inserted. Parasite free search engines are available aplenty. Just not too many with affiliate programs. They prefer reciprocal linking, which can be good but can also sometimes be a problem. I know there is an alternative program to weathercast that is parasite free but for the life of me I can't remember what it is called. As for Bargain Buddy...well virtually every spyware removal program goes apoplectic over bargain buddy and to be honest it is easy to remove the spyware within the program and still use the software. Just so long as people remember to sweep their PC every time the program is allowed to operate as it will immediately wish to resubmit for product update.

To be honest I've never considered any of them to be a great problem as I've always found it easy to remove them and the many other variants of parasiteware out there. But then I also remember that not every member of Joe Public is exactly computer skilled and I have indeed seen for some just how bad it can be with incessant pop-ups and messages.

All movie download programs like iMesh, KaZaa and the rest of the FastTrack or Gnutella networks are riddled with spyware. Ontrack Internet Cleanup removes a lot of it. Ad-Aware and Spybot do a good job of the rest; particularly the diallers. Maybe that's why I rather naughtily use iMesh Lite and KaZaa Lite K++ as these are parasite free.
