I'd be delighted, along with the rest of the forum probably, if you only answered questions from QGJ, I think he's got all of the good ones.
Should be interesting...

After reading the various threads on this site involving mentions of 180solutions, we have decided that it might be valuable for us to join in the conversation in an effort to address your concerns and further discuss these issues. We value our relationships within the affiliate community and I am more than happy to explain to you what 180solutions is all about, so please voice any of your concerns here. Note – I know that many of you likely have a lot of questions, so we’ll try to post responses as frequently as possible, but please keep in mind that there are many of you and only one of me.
I look forward to a productive discussion...

Hi Cory
Welcome to the forum.
Maybe you could start by telling us how you see 180 working within the affiliate community rather than alienating other affiliates by apparently 'hijacking' other affiliate links?
Perhaps you could also confirm which affiliate networks you currently work with - either under the auspices of 180 or under another identity?
Hi Cory
Welcome to the forum, could be a rough ride, but I admire your willingness to answer questions. Which I will leave to the more qualified members.
Hi,
I like to thank you for developing such rubbish. I have great pleasure removing your software from customer PC's - it is a good earner. There is no value in your software as far as a consumer is concerned. It slows down their system, and whats more everyone hates it. If there was value in adware software - why are there so many adware removal software packages? Why do I get many phone calls a day about adware removal?

If your not registered there simply do so.
A lot of affiliate questions which have already been asked..some been answered and countered.
It's a familiar path.

hi Cory.. nice of you to drop in.
I fear the discussion may not be productive though from your point of view.
Based on all the evidence available from respected sources, we all fail to see how your product can be seen as anything legitimate in this industry.
If I pay £1 for example on a credit card click on PPC and the visitor looks at my site then decides to apply for a credit card and clicks one of my links, depending which product and network that link redirects to, then your software, installed on the user's PC (often/almost always, without their knowledge) apparently overwrites my affiliate Link ID with yours.
Thus I have paid £1 so you guys can apparently STEAL .. yes STEAL any commission due to me that may have been generated, as without your software's intervention the click may have resulted in a sale that I WOULD have recieved commission for, yet thanks to your software I WILL NOT.
Please try and comprehend how much we truely loathe such products that steal from us in this way, and your product appears to do just this, the lack of ethics that such an organisation that behaves in this way must have is distinctly annoying.
Although in part the networks are to blame for taking the traffic so it's not a one way street by any means.
I challenge you to rationally explain you company's actions and dubious methods to us, we don't have totally closed minds in here so fire away ... explain yourselves..
IF you can !

I've recently seen the wheels of the 180Solutions PR machine start to move. They're trying to distance themselves from ubiquitous actions of some of the other "ad"ware companies. However, unless you invite us over to go through your technology I don't think anyone here is going to believe anything they say.
I'm sorry, but in the cold light of day people that have an ounce of sense are going to be concerned about the business model you have and are inclined to ridicule any communication that trys to camoflage your true practices.
Do you have products for review on my chocolate reviews or Easter eggs blog?s PM me.
Be careful how much information you share here.
At the moment the campaign against them is building momentum with networks and merchants dropping them.
The more they understand why they are being dropped the more they will work to paint affiliates in a bad light through the media and push search engines to change their algorithms. (You would be naive to think that they want to share their commissions with you)
Their argument being that an affiliate is the middle man between the product and the customer.
Affiliates are proving to be the biggest thorn in the adware strategy. They will do all they can to survive and push their business forward.

Hi Cory
guess you won't mind me invoicing you for the bill of fixing my ma's PC when 180 Solutions was downloaded onto her pc without her permission while she was browsing the web?
Sorry if this has been asked before but - how and why is 180 Solutions dropped onto a pc without a users permission despite Tradedoublers (Will) assurances that it isn't?
Aren't 180 Solutions concerned about Data Protection and Trademark infringements?
I think its excellent that 180 wants to talk to us all and discuss the problems.
I also think the idea of having one member deal as a spokesperson is a good idea, QGJ!!!!
If we can put pressure on 180 using serious discussion maybe there will be a time when 180 and other affiliates can work together.
May 180 can think about working on the greasy palm method of not dropping cookies if a cookie is already there???
Good, un-emotional discussion is needed to arrive at a place where we can all work together.
Carol
Why does your software not uninstall properly?
I downloaded Zango a few months ago to see what you guys were up to and was delighted to find you popping up ads and setting cookies via affiliate links on both my homepage and interior pages.
Obviously my users are delighted to receive a marvellous pop up from you (thinking its my pop up) with exactly the same offer as what is already on my page.
After some testing and complaining to the UK affiliate networks I tried to uninstall Zango.
Went through your procedure and suprise suprise the uninstall failed and I had to do it manually.
All UK networks, as far as I am aware demand that any software application be easiily uninstalled. As 180 solutions software is currently not in compliance with these rules are you not using UK networks at the moment?
Never buy a dwarf with learning difficulties.
Its not big and its not clever.
Greetings Cory,
.....so there's a few issues for you to start dealing with and addressing.....now we just await your response....
....the one I'm most interested in seeing responded to intially is how they can justify the insertion of code onto a users machine without seeking the users permission....in fact Cory, I would be interested to know how you might feel if you you went home tonight after work tonight to find me sitting in your lounge without your permission...and while I was climbing in through the window my muddy boots left a trail of dirt all over your carpet which will take you hours to clean and get rid off... i hardly think your first words would be to offer me a beer - or am I wrong?
