I can't imagine many turning up with that notice period which is a shame, especially for those situated outside of London.
Hi all
We have one final meeting of 2007 on Wednesday 28th 1500 here at the IAB (apologies for the late post here...) We would like to use this session to review this year’s activity and to plan for next year. As such I feel it’s important that we get a good turnout for this, and I’d appreciate it if you can let me know if you’re able to attend.
A draft agenda is below. Please feel free to add to this and also submit your comments on this forum if you can't attend in person as I think it’s important that we use this opportunity to set ourselves up for an excellent 2008!
Cheers
Dan

IMHO; The inability to organise a correctly attended 'Council' meeting, with the purpose of detailing the organisations 'Code of conduct' and 'Future Projects', does not bode well.
The eyes of the Affiliate Marketing world are upon you...
Would have liked to attended but notice period was just a little short.

Thanks for your responses.
I'm sorry for the short notice on this but if you're unable to attend in person I do encourage you to post some comments on the minutes of the meeting that will be posted here afterwards (probably Friday)
Anythign that's discussed this afternoon remains up for discussion. I'll ensure that the dates of future meetings are put up with more notice.
And thanks for keeping an eye on us. It's more fun when someone's watching...

could you please clarify - is there an attendance fee, how can someone participate?
thanks

there's no fee to attend the affiliate marketing council. All i need is an indication that you wish to attend, either post on the forum or email me (dan@iabuk.net) so that i can make sure there's enough room for everyone.
cheers
Having attended a couple of the meetings I found them well intentioned, pitifully under attended by the affiliate community and somewhat frustrating in terms of progress mate (that is inevitably the way with these things though). I have every intention of paying to be a member - its £500 to us and frankly, is the least that we can do to support what is clearly a necessary branch of a well respected organisation. For affiliates, attendance is and has always been free. The meeting I attended was vastly network biased (with a few of us management types floating about) shame about the lack of notice but I hope that the minutes posted will receive a respectful critique from us all and I'll look forward to seeing more attendees at the next meeting, by which time, I'll be a paid member

can you post the outcome of this meeting on the forum or at least post a link to where the information is on the IAB about the council and what discussions and actions have been taken to date - or is this just for members?

The minutes of the meeting will be published on the forum, if not this afternoon then some time next week, they are just waiting on Dan from the IAB to have them typed up.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.
