As discussed in our meeting last week, we will be kicking off a thread this evening for NETWORKS specifically asking for feedback from the community on the KEY ISSUES that face affiliate networks which we could look to resolve via the development of BEST PRACTICE case studies for the whole community.

Please post thoughts and comments, which me and the IAB will then review and cluster for debate in the next session.

Thanks in advance for positive comments.

    Ben

Heres 5 from a network policy (its been a while but as no-one else is playing)
    1) Why can't networks share data on black hat stuff
    2) Override erosion - when does it stop
    3) Merchants expectations on service - what should a network account manager do
    4) Fair and transparent RFP (request for pitch) processes
    5) Insisting on merchants following contracts whilst competitive networks allow carte blanche

    Hi All,

Thought we would kick this off from the network side.
    • Identification of rogue affiliates and sharing this information with other networks
    • Evolution of the last cookie wins payment model and introduction of a multi attributional system
    • Industry standard definitions and practices surrounding the voucher code space
    • Agreement on "grey" areas of affiliate marketing, eg adware, and industry wide definitions
    • Avoidance of affiliates utilising the forum to settle personal/private matters
    • Increased visibility of 3rd party tracking solutions for all parties, ie what are affiliate sales being deduplicated against?

    Any questions gratefully received.

    Best,

    Matt
