  Talking Sky Ireland's Resurrection!

Sky Ireland is pleased to announce its re-launch in line with the Sky UK affiliate programme. No longer will Sky Ireland stand in the shadow of its bigger brother Sky UK, no longer will it have lesser commissions and limited budget, make way for the Irish digital renaissance.

From today, 1st May, Sky Ireland will be offering the following commissions to all affiliates:
  • Standard: 1 to 5 sales = £40
  • Bronze: 6 to 15 sales = £45
  • Silver: 16 to 25 sales = £50
  • Gold: 26+ sales = £55

These fantastic commissions see a massive 80% increase on their previous tiers and will be based on a flat rate structure not incremental. This means that you will be allocated a flat rate tier based on your previous month’s performance. So if you made 17 sales in May, in June all your commissions will be at £50. If that increases to above 26 sales in June then you will move up to the Gold tier but if it decreases below 16 then you could drop to the Bronze or Standard Tier.

Historically Sky Ireland has been a better converter than its sister programme due to their being no bundles packages since Sky Broadband and Sky Talk haven’t been introduced yet. This has allowed the customer journey to be made quick and simple making the order process a better converter overall.

In addition to this Sky Ireland also have a great consumer offer on at the moment where the customer gets their first two months half price if they order online before 31st May. This is emphasised in their stylish Heroes and Simpsons’ creative.

What’s in the pipeline?

Sky Ireland is taking a very fresh approach to affiliate marketing and have already started to make amends to their landing pages so that they are more affiliate specific. This means that there will eventually be a landing page with no sales phone number and an increased emphasis on the incentive to buy online.

Also they will look to encourage upgrades and product specific commission in the near future allowing affiliates to earn more money on the extra products they sell.

Why promote Sky Ireland?

Ireland is experiencing a steady growth in the digital market and is expected to get bigger and bigger over the next few years. Unlike the UK there isn’t a saturated market of competitors so Sky almost stands alone in the digital industry.

Sky Ireland’s move in line with the UK highlights this and emphasises that now is the perfect time to take advantage of a growing industry where there is very little competition.

If you have any questions regarding this then please get in touch.
