Thumbs down How DVD.co.uk paid for their rebrand

Unless I am missing something, it looks like dvd.co.uk's standard commission has dropped from 5% to 4% following the re-brand to Base.com.

The cookie is now 28 days although unfortunately I have no way of checking what it was previously.

Of course, I'm sure base.com will still be deducting VAT on all order values before calculating commission.

Seriously guys, some sort of communication would have been appreciated rather than sweeping this one under the rug as part of the rebrand. None of the communications I have received to-date have mentioned this

Re: How DVD.co.uk paid for their rebrand

Hi,

Dvd.co.uk changed to a 4% standard commission quite a few months ago. Communication of this was all sent out at the time. I can go back in our records to let you know the exact date if you need, it was quite a while ago.

We fully appreciate the need to communicate changes in commissions, and wouldn't change them without letting affiliates know.

Regards

Please can someone at Buy.at encourage Base to follow the route that ASDA have taken and provide seperate feeds for each of their categories and improve their categorisation. I'd also like to see EANs and/or Manufacturer ID included.

At the moment their feed is 500,000+ items which is a 201Meg download - that's a ridiculous file size especially for a publisher like myself who only wants the DVD and Blu Ray products. That's around 30,000 items which means I'm only using about 6% of the feed.
