    OK, the boys at Betfred have been give the thumbs up (oooo'errr!) to attend the CAP Euro event at Chelsea FC in January.

    What I wanted to know was who else is going from A4U, I know of a couple of people but wanted to generate some kind of list for targets err i mean a beer buddies.

    Both Sam and I are attending so it would be good to meet up.

    Full info on the event is here

    Cheers.

    How can I not be there?!

    Yes definitely going. No flights or hotels necessary this time. This event is a 10 minute walk from my house.

    I would think a lot of A4U members will come to this one as it is right here in the UK!

    I'm gonna be there - can't wait!

    We're also getting a stall and I should hopefully be a speaker there too - MARTYN, as a warning in advance, please do not heckle me.

    does look appealing, particularly the opportunity to see and hear Mr Little in full flow! Only downside is it's at the home of the scumski. At least it's not the New Den, I suppose!

    Any views on the £700 fee... will it be worthwhile?

    Put it this way Tom, if we go to this event it would work out more expensive than when we went to the Vegas conference in September. That covers travel, accomodation and entry fee.

    Entry to the Vegas conference was a mere £350 I dont see how they justify the £700 for this one to be honest. The only this is that it is free for affiliates!

    The point from a merchant point of view is that entry cost, in our case for 2 persons, accomodation, again for 2 persons (seperate rooms of course) and then the train ticket which varies in price.

    Rough price for 2 persons...
    Conference Tickets = £1400
    Train Ticket = £120 (if booked now)
    Accomodation = £340
    Total = £1860

    On top of this add expenses and then go see Fred and pitch it...

    The conference has obvious potential to make the company money but its trying to justify the expense to the guy who holds the wallet!

    This is where you went wrong - we paid £2,000 for a stall, and that includes two delegate passes!

    Still, £600 more than the tickets.

    Have looked into sponsorship but then it works out even more expensive.

    Might be giving this one a miss and go to the free one in Amsterdam in May if its still on?
