Ok, I'm not sure what the rules of the forum are about this.

Am I allowed to post up the URL of my first site for general review/feedback?

Excellent in which case, I'd be really grateful for some feedback. The URL is as follows:

The general consensus seemed to be to start off small and go with something you enjoy, so I thought I'd give promoting PKR poker a go.

Yes, it's very competitive but I'm hoping the domain name will help me as far as rankings go ... and to be honest, anything I earn will be a big bonus. I'm treating this as a massive learning exercise.

So any thoughts or suggestions on the site itself or how I could go about promoting it would be hugely welcome!

There's very competitive and then there's insanely competitive. Unfortutaenly it falls into one of the 3P's - Porn, Poker, Pills. All highly lucrative but difficult to break into.

It's not impossible by any means but very hard for beginners and will take you time to get any rankings in the Serps unless you already have some established sites.

I'm looking to find some more niche areas at the moment, but I just wanted to get something up to at least get a feel for how SEO and affiliate site management works.

Thanks alot for the feedback Woody - much appreciated. I've started to see the occasional hit come through from search at the moment, but it's obviously still early days. Can anyone suggest how long I should be expecting to wait before I start to see a steady stream come in from search?

As far as SEO plugins go, I'm using All in one SEO pack and SEO Title Tag. Any other plugins people think would help would be much appreciated

This really is a great looking site. I am just wondering how you plan on driving traffic to it? I cant see you beating the other operator sites for the keywords such as: 3d Poker, 3D Poker Room, etc etc.
