Ok, a little bit of background. One of my sites has a page listing lots of Globalcom Bingo Skins. Now for a long time I couldn't be bothered actually getting around to affiliating with them all as in my experience they've never been great performers otherwise. However, at the start of this month I looked at some tracking and was amazed to see how many people were clicking through to the sites (they were just straight links to start with).
So I took a day to affiliate to all these sites I'd ignored up until then - just in case... The traffic through the page with all the links was pretty constant, and everyday there were very similar numbers of outbound clicks on the Globalcom sites in the list (more so than the other networks also listed on the page). With in a day all these sites had registrations showing on the stats (thank the lord for the new Globalcom interface!) but no money players.
Slowly the sites have all had money players, but, something really fishy is going on. I've checked about 10 of these Globalcom skins today and they roughly average out like this:
Registrations: 50 - 100
Cash Players: 1
Deposits: £5 - £10
Withdrawals: £30 - £150
Anyone seeing anything like this? I know it's not Globalcom that's in the fault here - I think there's something automated going on. I would never expect to see so many registrations to depositors on other sites. So far of all the sites I've checked today, none are in profit (which is why I never rushed to sign up all affiliate programmes till now).
My theory is something like this. Robots visit my page as it has a collection of sites under the Globalcom category, follows the link to the site and signs up. It plays the free pound of games then starts over. If one wins on the free pound, they deposit to get the money out. Rinse repeat. I could be wrong though...
