Check Your Ladbrokes Bingo Links

Don't know if anyone else got the earlier email about checking Ladbrokes Bingo links from Roni? If you did, I'd take a look. I found several of my links which were working fine a couple of weeks ago had ceased working. It's not the first time it's happened with Ladbrokes Bingo. I found a load of Flash Banners had stopped working a month or so ago. I've asked them to let us know when they change stuff on the backend, but take a look at your best pages just to check you're not sending Ladbrokes traffic to an error page, because annoyingly the banners are still displaying but the links are not working.

I second this... In fact, the way the whole situation was handled was VERY casual and unprofessional. To get an email saying "update your links - it's really that easy" is laughable. We have seen switching our sportsbook links lead to a 500%+ increase in traffic that we are sending them!!! It's been like this for MONTHS.

The bingo links were dropped for a couple of days only, but still significant.

Just another example of the big guys not really giving a crap about most affiliates. They really should be bending over backwards with apologies instead of looking forward to partying in Amsterdam!

Yeah it was down for a while! error page claiming 'scheduled maintenace', ummm strange time to schedule maintenace ~ middle of the day during the Aintree festival??? is it the start of a DOS attack to be launched on saturday?? I hope not!!

Actually, the maintenance page means your link isn't working as it's expired. If you go back in and get a fresh link, then it goes to the right place. It's caught me out for a bit.

Is this using Ladbrokes own Aff system? because I only got the link code less than a week ago... i'm worried now, as I have a load of Ladbrokes links on a site that's currently getting 100,000 hits a day!!

Yeah - some of the ones not working on my site I only got the code for a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah I was told today that everytime an offer updates on ladbrokes - they don't have control to dynamically update the offer or the banner that have loaded and I will have to update my creative's everytime they change (on indie)

It very annoying.
There are so many programs I work for as an affiliate and they really think I have time to follow their timetables, sales and offers.!!???!.

I always try to change stuff on request and get things in order in order to be advertising correctly but I am pretty sure that most merchants forget, that even though I may do alot of work for them - there is another thousand merchant requests that I get every month that I am also trying to juggle and amend offers for.

It would be so much easier if ladbrokes had a javascript link that had the current auto updating offer on and I could just insert that into my pages.

First of all, we would like to apologise for the way it has been perceived that we have handled this situation. Our affiliate program is an integral part of our marketing mix and we do take this issue seriously.

We have implemented a system to enable our marketing tools to be updated remotely once they became out of date, therefore requiring less administration for our affiliates to keep up to date on our latest offers. Unfortunately there was a small glitch, which has caused the link to direct to a “service maintenance” message.

As soon as we were aware of this we started work on resolving it and issued the aforementioned communication. We have now corrected this problem and all links are now working as of the 8th Apr.

We regularly check our tracking to ensure that these situations do not arise again in the future.

To reiterate, our tracking is accurate and does work correctly if the codes supplied from our system are not edited in anyway.

Fantastic stuff - thanks for the update. It really make things a whole lot easier when merchant take control over expired promotions and redirect them to current ones. Its just a case of changing my writeups a little then rather than having to logon to a network and get new creatives and matching links.
