What No Grand National Thread?

I was amazed to see there is no Grand National thread going yet!

So i'll kick it off...

My £25 each way bets on:

King John's Castle

and a few quid on...

Comply Or Die and Slim Pickings.

Most online bookies are pulling the free bet deals tonight ~ you can still get £25 with toteSport (UK) if you hurry.

Theres plenty of free bets left - Paddy Power, Betfair, SportingBet, Stan James, Boylesports all confirmed for tomorrow

Its only VC, Sky & Hills (from Midnight) that Im aware of that have pulled it

Im not finding conversions as good this year as last - what are other peoples experiences?

I'm finding conversions very odd ~ Buy.at programs are coverting a storm, tradedoubler useless!! i know there is a tracking problem with TD at the moment, but still nothing from the clicks i sent them!

Actually im trying to stick to just Buy.at links and Ladbrokes as all the others i tried did not convert!

A lot depends on the specifc terms of the program especially on timing. I always find that the terms are far too vague.

EG first bet - is it reported when its placed or settled?
For exchanges - does it have to generate commission (i.e. they must have a winning bet)?

Also delayed reporting of "Valids" in network data creates quite a risk. You can see the registrations but you never quite know what % will convert.

I see a big trend this year on the bookies pushing their non sports products very heavily to their customers which can cause issues if you are not paid on those products,

I really feel this year that the Grand National has made fools of some of the bookmakers.

It's the busiest day of the betting calendar by far for new accounts and the affiliate managers are either non-contactable or swanning it in Amsterdam. Thanks to Sinead at Paddy Power for sending hourly updates today.

I'd like to point out that affiliates have been working their arses off, non stop on this event at least for all week.

Andy at SkyBet has been excellent too
Its unbelieveable how many are at a Casino Affiliate Convention during peak sportsbook time
Some of them are going to get a nasty shock when they return and want to discuss Euro promotions
