  Bingo XML feed

Hi guys,

I've just been looking at Jasons blog and I was wondering if you could let me know what Bingo sites actually have an XML feed?

I know I'm lazy but this is a little quicker than emailing the 200 bingo providers

Thanks in advance!

  Re: Bingo XML feed

Great news CrazyLady!

Crown Bingo's XML feed was launched last week and a few affiliates tell me it's one of the best around!

Included in our feed is the following:
  • The number of players playing CrownBingo
  • Room data for our 3 rooms - how many players in each room.
  • Jackpot values
  • Latest winners
  • A list of the next five games about to be played

Our progressive jackpot is only updated once a day by our software provider so that is the only data that won't change every 2 minutes but still it will let your visitor know exactly what is going on in Crown Bingo right now!

All you have to do to get it is sign up with Crown Bingo Affiliate Program and after you've been approved it'll be in the creative section of your affiliate management area.

There is detailed instructions on how to use it. Your site will need php to use the data as it is now, but if you have any questions just drop me an email affiliates@crownbingo.com

Thanks,
Vikki

possibly that could be because it's one of the few that are around - and my views on the feed you already know Vikki... but sorry I don't rate it highly for my purposes.

A progressive jackpot feed that doesn't progress as the jackpot progresses isn't much use imo, and it would be good if the software provider could sort that out.

For the rest of the bingo industry, getting an xml feed is like finding the holy grail tucked inside Lord Lucan's back pocket as he gallops at edge of the rainbow on Shergar.

Globalcom sites can't/don't have them
Gala maybe will
Jackpotjoy do
St Minver do
Bingos do
Bingo.com do

That's about it...

Jason

Jason
It does progress just at a different frequency to other sites

I am a mear servant here and I am giving my lovely affiliates all of the data from the site as an when it changes... I will feed this back to our software provider and I'm guessing that it will be available in early 2050. lol

What I don't understand is that the provider must know the current progressive otherwise how do they know how much it is when it's won?

If the jackpot is stored in a database somewhere, then it's a few lines of code to pull it out, write it to xml and then set up a cron job to run every minute to keep it updated so an affiliate can then grab it automatically (well that's the theory, I've no idea why it's so complicated beyond that).

Thanks guys,

You're right Jason I would have thought it would be a pretty simple thing for every site to provide.

Oh well, thanks for saving me time in the search for the holly grail

You'd have thought...

Anyway if there are any bingo or casino or gaming sites with feeds - and all I want is your progressive jackpot data, provided it updates in real time ish - oh and it works - then please let me know.

  Re: Bingo XML feed

Both Astrobingo and (from later today) Cyberbingo have XML and CSV progressive jackpots feeds available from Paid On Results. Just get in touch with us (or PM me) and we will give you the URLs to them. We can also arrange a winners feed from Astrobingo if you are interested.
