As we find ourselves at the end of yet another football season, its time to give you a “heads up” on the Footballpools.com summer programme, in terms new games, promotions and offers. What to promote, and how to earn your money.
We've got so much planned for the summer months from European Championship themed Premier 10 specials to our excellent “Euro 2008 - Adopt a Country” promotion, it'll be the start of the 2008/09 season before you know it!

Adopt a country – Euro 2008
Just because the home nations won't be there, it doesn't mean that our customers have to miss out this summer.
"Adopt a Country" at
www.footballpools.com/adopt and you can follow the tournament with as much passion as always. We can help the customer choose a country by asking a series of fun questions which will tell us the country they’re best suited to, or of course they can make your own mind up!
Either way, once they have chosen their nation we'll really get them started in style with a certificate of adopted nationality, a screensaver and wallpaper and the national anthem all themed around their new country! Participants will also get access to their adopted country’s community of like-minded fans, with a blog they can comment on, quizzes, competitions, and the chance to learn more about the adopted homeland.

Commission: Affiliates will earn 50p, on all new registrations for “adopt A Country” that they deliver.
NB: 50p Registration commission is to promotion only, and does not apply to registration to “The Football Pools”
Standard commission for Football Pools registration and deposit remains the same. If your customer goes on to play Football Pools games, you will still get the commission applicable. Reward sites, you may wish to explain this to your users.

Premier 10 and Classic Pools
Premier 10 games and
Classic Pools- European fixtures will obviously be on hold during the break in the football season. We will however, be running TWO Premier 10 games during the summer, based around euro 2008 fixtures and weekly "Classic Pools" games, based on Australian Fixtures. Details as follows:

Game no 1 - Week commencing 7th June.

Classic Pools – Australian Fixtures
Not so much a game of “Skill”, more a “Football Lottery”. Fixtures kick off from 27th May and run weekly until 20th July. It’s the Classic Pools favourite, based around Australian Fixtures.
Jackpot Amounts: Jackpot stands at £2.5m
Key selling points: The average pay out is £125k and with payout rates more than 3 times higher than the national lottery, I know where I’d be putting my money!

Footy Bets
Throughout the course of the summer, we will be running a series of “fixed odds” games, based around the outcome of euro 2008 fixtures. Games as follows:
Game: Goalden
Description: Forecast the time of the first goal and net a nice little earner!
Prize: Stake £10 and win £500 for 4 correct.
Game/match dates: 7th – 26th June (at least one match each day).
Game: Goal Getter
Description: Forecast the total number of goals in each match.
Prize: Guaranteed jackpot of £2000. (£2000 for 6 correct, £100 for 5 correct, £10 for 4 correct
Game/match dates: 7th – 18th June (at least one match each day).
Game: Goal Predictor
Description: Predict how many goals fill the net to win.
Prize: Stake £5 and win £250
Game/match dates: 7th – 26th June (at least one match each day).
Game: Quick Match Stats
Description: Predict total goals, total nets or total corners.
Prize: Stake £10 and win £500 for 4 correct.

Planning for “The Football Pools” new Site
In preparation for the “New Football Pools” official brand re-launch (July/Aug 08) we are launching a brand new website – still at Footballpools.com.This is estimated to go live on 14th July.
The new site will include:
· Community (including blogs, forums, leader boards etc)
· Private Leagues – invite your mates to play in your own league, and challenge others.
· Spot The Ball – Weekly
· Spot The Ball – Instant Win

· “Pundits Corner”. Challenge our resident pundits (Rachel and Christian), in their quest to discuss all things football.

The New Football Pools – official Brand re-launch
You may already know that Littlwoods Football Pools acquired Vernon and Zetter’s pools, earlier in the year – giving birth to “The New Football Pools”.
Well… In August, just in time for the new football season, you will finally get to see what its all about, what the new brand represents and hear about all the exciting “new stuff” we have in the pipeline.
Unfortunately, I can’t name names, but can say that we have a very exciting sponsorship deal in the pipeline, that will push our brand into the forefront of football lover’s thoughts across the country. Watch this space for more info.
We have plenty of on and offline promotional and marketing activity planned. Ill give you a heads up nearer the time, so you can make the most of the promotional period.
