  Gamevillage promoting Blackpool Club Bingo

Anyone else get the email promoting Blackpool Club Bingo (BCB)?

Nothing against BCB, great site, team and CPA, must be this that makes them want to promote an alternative bingo room to their own!?

Yes, so far I have had Virgin Bingo, Champagne and Blackpool Club Bingo, what worries me is if it is sending my players elsewhere.

Can you imagine this happening in any other field?

Hello from Amazon,

today we'd like to feature some great offers from Play.com!

If I was Game Village I'd be worried about sending away my players to another site as well, but obviously they have so many they don't seem to mind. It's a very short sighted move IMO.

I have heard other sites doing similar thing, just imagine all the sign ups these sites get that don't go on to play for real.

Whats the average conversion rate 10%?, so 90% do not go back and deposit after claiming their free money, so there database must have 1000's of emails that they have collected over the years that they can not convert, even after spamming them regular newsletters/promotion offers to capture them.

If any bingo or casino sites want to sell there old emails, id buy them

I don't mind them doing this as long as they are only sending away players that have been inactive for more than 6 months.

Good point Rachael - Whatever their motive its a sure fire way of us giving them any kind of decent promotion on our sites.

Short sited, or desperate?

Seriously, if someone like GameVillage was unable to convert them to cash players, what's the likelihood of something like Champagne of Virgin Bingo managing it? Seems like a waste of money to me, advertisers throwing good money after bad.

Yes very true, I believe these are 6+ month old emails, so would expect a lot are dead by now, plus I would imagine there would be lots of bonus hunter and cashback site email addresses in there.

Re: Gamevillage promoting Blackpool Club Bingo

In their defense, they apparently advised affiliates about this some time ago. These are the absolute hardest to convert players and nowhere near being active at Gamevillage. Still it was a shock to see so many. It's not much different to what Thinkbingo did by sending inactive players to Foxy and vice versa.

My opinion is that it's ok. It was probably a lot fairer when they paid for each lead generated as well as CPA and commission, but we send the players and once they are dead in the database, there's not much we can do?
